Sustainability

We strongly value conscious purchasing. For us that means we want our consumers to think carefully before they make a purchase. We want them to think about what it is made of, who it was made by and what will happen to it at the end of it's lifecycle.

As a result we do not encourage regular sales on items, however we understand that sometimes purchasing ethically and sustainably is a choice that some can't make for financial reasons. As such we will only ever have large sales for the week of Black Friday, a discount on postage cost or 10% discount code for affiliates.

In 2021 Earth Overshoot Day fell on July 29th, (the 2022 hasn't been released yet) if you haven't heard of it before it is the day when humanity’s demand exceeds what Earth can regenerate in that year. That is staggering, our overconsumption and the impact it has on our environment has never been more clear. So with this view in mind we aim to do three things.

1. Source items responsibly with consideration to the environment and the people involved in the supply chain. Choosing where possible items that are locally designed and manufactured. The florals in our 'wear' collection have been primarily grown locally or saved from events

2. Promote a circular economy, the best way to stop over consumption is to promote re-use and re-cycle of existing items. So if you have items that still have plenty of life left in them we would love to hear about it. We also encourage you to purchase from our 'loved' collection

3. Using natural materials. Wood is both tactile and natural, while seeing trees cut down makes our family sad, we encourage its use when it is done sustainably. Our clothing range is focused on a natural hemp/organic cotton blend, using all organic cotton notions. If you haven't read up about hemp you can find some information on its myriad of benefits here
